Is there a need to join the administrative and instructional networks
to facilitate easier, remote monitoring?
Answer - It seems as if separate networks are not a necessary system. What are the advantages to this?
Remote monitoring will be easier to accomplish through the use of VNC clients and Windows XP. Our Network Manger cannot “see” the administrative network as presently configured. Incorporating one Domain will also make access to networked applications such as SASI and Finance Manager more streamlined and user friendly. The perceived advantage to separate networks is one of security, when in fact security will be easier to maintain and have better protection if not separate.
Action Plan - Reconfigure the administrative and instructional networks to allow for remote monitoring and seamless integration.
