Welcome...

...to the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Education Foundation website!  The Foundation was chartered in 1999 to create new opportunities for education in our community and is run by a volunteer board.

The Foundation supports the youth of the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake
school community
by generating and disbursing funds
for services, equipment, enrichment programs and other projects
designed to enhance education.

If you have questions about the Foundation, please contact Board chair Dorie McArthur.

Copies of "From Wilderness to Community" -- the history of the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District -- are available locally for $10 at Mail 'n' More on Route 50, or can be mail-ordered for $12.25, which includes shipping.  Please direct your orders to Gina Longhurst at gmlonghurst@yahoo.com.

This well-illustrated volume includes stories and pictures from the earliest one-room schoolhouses to the present day.  You may see someone you know in its pages and you will certainly enjoy seeing the past come to life in the talented hands of its authors.

Printing of the book was underwritten by a grant from the BH-BL Education Foundation and the authors have designated the Foundation as the recipient of the proceeds.
