An introductory
disarticulated skeleton and six "Sherlock Bones" kits (partial
skeletons for forensics analysis labs). Forensics is a new
elective science course being offered in the fall. The labs help
students develop skills in critical thinking and problem solving.

High School Transition Committee
Take thirty students to the
Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown for a two-day peer leadership
training to develop a "buddy" mentor program for identified at-risk or
"disconnected" students. This addresses two BH-BL High School
goals: to increase Regents and Merit diploma rates and to create
connections for disengaged students.

To purchase a Lego Renewable
Energy Getting Started Package for Renewable Energy Lab to be used in
the after school enrichment club which is open to all 4th & 5th
graders in all three elementary schools. The material would also
be available to teachers and students to supplement the current
Science curriculum. Students will discover how energy is
developed from the sun, wind and water.

To purchase an Optoma DV10
Movie Time Digital DVD Projector for an after school activity that
will make use of feature length Hollywood films dealing with
historical topics that are studied in class. The "Movies R Us"
program will offer one movie per quarter and involve three activity
period presentations.
