Hibernation

During the summer, many animals that hibernate eat lots of food and store fat in their bodies to use during the winter.  Other animals store food in their dens, and sometimes wake and eat during the winter.  While hibernating, the animal's breathing and heart beat slows down.  Bears, chipmunks, frogs, snakes, and turtles hibernate.  Some bugs do too!
